Rochdale Hornets raise 1,557 for Thumbs Up For Freddie

£1,557 has been raised for the Thumbs Up For Freddie appeal, with the money donated to Freddie’s family.

Three-year-old Freddie Lowe sadly passed away on July 31 after being diagnosed late in 2020 with rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare type of cancer in the nasal area.

Freddie was an inspiration to us all, and money was raised by fans through buying match tickets, donating money and game days and club players and staff also donated towards the cause.

The money will also go towards Young Lives Versus Cancer.

Freddie’s father, Chris Lowe, said: “I’d like to say a massive thank you for all the overwhelming support to all the board, staff, players, fans and everyone connected to Rochdale Hornets.”
