Injuries, suspensions and recalls decimate Hornets’ Squad

Rochdale Hornets will again be without a host of several first-team players for Sunday’s clash with West Wales Raiders.
Since taking over as interim Head Coach, Gary Thornton has had to work tirelessly - with Chairman Andy Mazey - just to field a full 17 on matchday.
Despite this Hornets have continued to put in spirited performances away from home, at in-form Doncaster and North Wales Crusaders, as well as record a 34-14 win over Cornwall.
However, as Round 19 of the season draws near, Rochdale will have to contend with the following selection problems:
Zac Baker – serving a five-match ban for his red card against Swinton Lions
Ben O’Keefe – recalled from loan by Wigan Warriors
Pat Moran - recalled from loan by Newcastle Thunder
Scott Parnaby - called up for international duty to represent England Students
Fenton Rogers – serving a three-match ban for his red card against Cornwall
Kieran Rush – ruled out after a head knock sustained at North Wales
Lewis Sheridan – recovering from operation on dislocated fingers (could miss the remainder of the season)
As a result, all the lads who will be wearing the shirt - on Sunday - will need the loyal Hornets support more than ever.
