Rochdale Hornets Ladies can confirm their captains for the 2021 season

Rochdale Hornets Ladies is thrilled to announce Claire Collins as our captain for the 2021 season and Leah Montgomery as vice-captain.

The Ladies team return to action on May 9 for the first time in over 18-months in an exciting year, which includes the Rugby League World Cup for all Mens, Womens and Wheelchair teams.

On the appointment, Collins said: "I was honoured to be asked to captain the team this season. We’ve been working hard in training and I’m excited to see how it will work out on the pitch. We’ve got some quality players and we are all looking forward to getting back out there."

Montgomery added: "I’m extremely grateful to be asked to be vice-captain this season and couldn’t ask for a better bunch of girls to play alongside with. We are all excited and raring to go. I’m feeling positive about the upcoming season and what it holds for Hornets."

The Ladies team are still welcoming players to join the team, while also looking for some match day volunteers –
