Challenge Cup fixture confirmed
Rochdale Hornets will face York Acorn in the third round of the Challenge Cup this Sunday at the AJ Bell Stadium.
Rochdale Hornets can confirm that our third round Coral Challenge Cup tie against York Acorn will be played at the AJ Bell Stadium this Sunday, with a 3:00pm kick off.
The original fixture fell victim to storm Ciara over the weekend, and the club can confirm that the game will be played at the home of the Salford Red Devils.
Tickets remain the same price, £15 for adults, £12 for concessions , £5 for under 16s and free for under 5s and are available from the club office (10-4 until Friday) or on the day with cash turnstiles.
Car parking is available on the day at £4.
CEO Steve Kerr said: “We are concerned that a game at Spotland may not be possible due to forecasted weather and have therefore taken the pragmatic decision to ensure the game goes ahead. We want to get off to the best possible start and are paying respect to both the competition and York Acorn.
“I’d like to thank Ruth and her team at the AJ Bell for making the transition to move the game really easy. Fans on both teams should embrace this as a fantastic occasion and we hope all Rochdale fans get behind Matt and the team for our opening game.”
Box holder tickets and those who purchased tickets for the original game will still be valid, but fans must present their tickets and cards on arrival.
