Jaden Dayes signs new two-year deal

Rochdale Hornets forward Jaden Dayes has agreed a new two-year deal, keeping him at the club until at least the end of the 2028 season.
Dayes is currently in his third season with the club, having previously been a graduate of the Huddersfield Giants academy.
He has made a total of 38 appearances for the club, 24 of which have been starts. During that time, he has also scored five tries.
Back in the autumn of 2024, Dayes represented Jamaica in an international test against Wales, featuring alongside Hornets team-mate Jordan Andrade.
"I’m really happy to get this deal over the line," Dayes said.
"Since joining Rochdale, I have had nothing but positives to say. I feel my rugby keeps improving, and this is something I am more than happy to continue with.
"With the fans, the players and the club as a whole, there's a really good feeling around the place, and I'm excited to continue here for the next two years and see how far this club can go."
Rochdale Hornets chairman Andy Mazey said: “I’m absolutely delighted to have agreed a deal with Jaden Dayes to extend his stay at the club for a further two years.
“Jaden is making solid progress. He is still only young though, and is only going to get better and better.
“We are committed to retaining our brightest young talent, and this announcement is the first of a number of key player retentions for 2027 and beyond.
“The fact that we are offering multi-year contracts should demonstrate to our supporters the stability we've created as an ownership group, at a time when so many are struggling.
“It also shows we are fully committed to steadily and sustainably building a competitive Championship side, in addition to the other great work going on across the club and Foundation."
