Report: Rochdale Hornets Women 64-4 Wigan St Judes

Rochdale Hornets Women continued the unbeaten start to their 2025 Northern Women's League Two campaign with an impressive 64-4 victory over Wigan St Judes.

It took just two minutes for the hosts to open the scoring, with full-back Molly Udale-Williams picking up her first of three during the game.

Momentum quickly shifted further in the Hornets’ favour as Sam Braizer touched down on the six-minute mark to extend the leading margin to 10-0.

In the 14th minute, Wigan St Judes scored their only points of the fixture, powering over from close range.

Udale-Williams then scored a potential Try of the Season contender. Collecting a loose kick, she picked her lines right, speeding almost the full length of the pitch to score under the posts.

Evie Barnes inflicted further pain on the visitors when an acrobatic effort in the corner saw her get on the scoresheet to make it 22-4.

As the 26th minute arrived, once again Rochdale found the try line through Claire Collins, before a four-pointer from Claire Mullaney looked to have sealed the deal for the Hornets just as the half-time hooter sounded.

St Judes came out for the second half fighting and showed real character, reducing the Hornets Women to just 24 more points.

Udale-Williams scored her third try of the afternoon, with Collins also grabbing a second.

Darcey Price and Joanna Tyson finished the scoring off for the Hornets as they came away with a 64-4 victory and two competition points.
