Hornets sit sixth in the table, but only two points behind Workington Town and Hunslet.

Cornwall RLFC

Mike Abbot's side have won one match so far this season, which came in a 35-10 victory over London Skolars on home soil.

Cornwall have since lost to Doncaster, Dewsbury Rams, Oldham and most recently Hunslet, who won 54-10 last Saturday.

Cameron Brown has scored seven tries already this campaign, which is the joint-third highest in the division.

Head to Head

Hornets will be aiming to maintain their perfect record over Cornwall, having won the only two matches previously between the club's.

Rochdale won 50-0 in the first ever meeting with the Cornish opposition on the road, before they followed up the result with a 34-14 victory on home soil.

Cian Tyrer and Dan Nixon will be looking to continue their perfect record against Cornwall, with both wingers scoring three tries across the two matches.

The club extended the loan of Umyla Hanley for a further two-weeks from Leigh Leopards on Thursday, and the centre will be aiming to add to his four tries already scored in a Hornets shirt.

Thornton also brought in hooker Aaron Smith, who played for St Helens in their 2019 Grand Final victory over Salford Red Devils, from Leopards on a two-week loan deal.
