Vacancy: Business Development Director

Rochdale Hornets is recruiting for Business Development Director to join our Foundation team.

Rochdale Hornets Sporting Foundation are looking to recruit a confident, innovative, and proactive individual that will drive funding and investment into the charity. You will focus on income generation through commercial contracts, grants, fundraising, donations, and sponsorships to help grow the charity.

You will report to the Rochdale Hornets CEO and to the Foundations Board of Trustees. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving effective partnerships with funders, commissioners, and commercial partners. Previous experience in a business development role will assist in the quality assurance of programme delivery, measuring impact and securing new funding. 

Rochdale Hornets Sporting Foundation aims to improve Rugby League provision by delivering projects in the heart of the community by harnessing the power of sport, health, and education making a lasting, positive impact on individuals' lives.

The Hornets Foundation delivers a range of projects under the four pillars of Sport, Health, Community & Education. Rugby League is an engaging sport that allows our staff to work with a wide range of individuals, delivering important lifestyle messages to inspire others to make positive changes to their own lives.

Role: Business Development Director – Rochdale Hornets Sporting Foundation 

Reporting to: Chief Executive Officer / Board of Trustees

Responsible for: Investment, management, support coaching staff. 

Hour of Work: 37.5 Hours - Flexible working + weekends and evening commitments when required

Location: Crown Oil Arena, Sandy Lane, Rochdale, OL11 5DR
