Hornets welcome Peter Rush as ambassador

Peter Rush has been invited to be a club ambassador

ROCHDALE Hornets have welcomed Heywood Councillor, Peter Rush, as a club ambassador.

Chairman, Andy Mazey said: “Peter has been extremely supportive of myself and the board since the change of ownership. His association with the club spans over several decades in various capacities. He is passionate about the club, and the sport of rugby league and he provides valuable development links to local senior politicians and Council departments. Peter will also assist the board with strategic and targeted growth plans within the town and borough and has strong connections so this is yet another piece of positive news for Rochdale Hornets."

Councillor Peter Rush said: “I am genuinely honoured to take up an ambassadorial role at the club, and I appreciate the new board thinking of me for such a prestigious position. My involvement with the club goes back many years so to be able to share in the future success is a great privilege. Also, I look forward to supporting Andy and the board in any way I can, good people who I consider to be the saviours of Hornets. Like everyone else I’m really excited by the vision and future of our club."
