200 UP FOR CAPTAIN MITCH
LEE Mitchell is in line to make his 200th career appearance on Sunday when Rochdale Hornets take on Batley Bulldogs at the Crown Oil Arena.
Club captain, Mitch, joined Hornets on loan from Warrington Wolves during the 2017 season where he was integral in keeping the club in the Championship, finishing ninth.
He made the move permanent when he was signed for 2018 and later made club captain by Alan Kilshaw.
Mitch has gone on to make 69 appearances for Hornets, with his 70th coming this Sunday to make up the double century overall.
Having spent a chunk of that 200 in Super League with Harlequins (12), Warrington (37) and Castleford (23), Mitch has also featured for Leigh (16), Whitehaven (27) and Batley (15).
Away from the grind of Rochdale Hornets and the Championship, Lee is a community rugby league coach with the Warrington Wolves Foundation and delivers fantastic projects and initiatives across the town.
Join us this Sunday to celebrate Mitch’s fantastic career. He has been a great servant to Rochdale Hornets and the game of rugby league.
