SETA SIGNS ON FOR TWO YEARS
The Fijian flyer has committed his future to the club
SETA Tala has committed his future to Rochdale Hornets by penning a two year deal that will run to the end of the 2020 season.
The former Rochdale Cobra joined from local community club Rochdale Mayfield part way through the 2018 season and was pivotal in the side that eventually avoided relegation on the last say of the season.
The Fijian, whose full name is Setareki Talatoka, was born on the pacific island before moving to Rochdale and making his name on the local amateur scene, as well as representing Lancashire.
Hornets CEO Steve Kerr said: “We’re thrilled to secure Seta’s services for at least another two years.
“He’s a raw talent who has really impressed since coming into the fold in 2018 and provided a real physical threat in the centre.
“He won over the fans with his powerful running game and managed to get on the score sheet on a number of occasions.”
He is the first Hornet of many expected to re-sign as Carl Forster, Kerr and the club’s board work hard to bring in a number of new signings.
